Welcome to Inquiry Learning in the 21st Century Classroom

WHAT is inquiry learning, you may ask?

WHY is inquiry learning important in the 21st Century classroom?

HOW can inquiry learning be used to underpin the pedagogy of Human Society and It's Environment (HSIE) in schools?

HOW can teachers deliver effective teaching methods to achieve active inquiry learning in their classroom?

My name is Christina. I am a student studying primary education and am currently researching the influence of inquiry learning on the NSW K-6 key learnning are (KLA) of Human Society and It's Environment (HSIE).

These and other inquiry based questions will be explored on my blog. I have endeavoured to provide an informative and succinct depiction of the use of inquiry learning through aspects of the NSW K-6 Syllabus, strategies for the 21st century classroom and limitations. The information has been gathered from credible sources which can be found under 'References' at the end of this page and are based on my understandings of 'Inquiry Learning'.

So, EXPLORE away teachers, parents and students!!

Firstly, let's explore 21st century learners....
